Definitely a must have featured

Comments The reefkeeper lite is amazing. I have a hard time keeping th temperature down in my tank because my ambient temperature stays around 78 my tan will easily rise to 85 or more with my halides on so I was looking at a temp controller to run my heater and fans. I was also looking at a wave maker to control my powerheads. Basically for the same price as those 2 items I got the reefkeeper lite lvl3. This controllerdoes so mch for me. It handles my hating and cooling, my powerheads, shuts all the flow down during feeding (I set it at 10 mins for feeding) it handles my ato. It also measures my ph. This thing is capable of running most of your tank. I accidently cut a powe wire on my fans once and when my tank got to hot it even shut down my halides to keep them from cooking the tank. I reccomend this for anyone who got a reef tank. This item will do so much more than I listed but I'm just telling you some of the things I use it for.

Liked about it It was very easy to program (no special language like some controllers.
It does every function I could possibly want from it.
The price for what it does is amazing compared to what seperate controllers cost.

Didn't like The only thing I didn't like about it was its only expandable to 4 modules, but since I was buying another pc4 ad they are $89 I just bought another rkl lvl 1 for $99 which came with the pc4 so I use 2 controllers

WOW! Stability and peace of mind in one! featured

Comments I was considering getting a controller for a long time, and I had looked at all the options, this controller being only $100 was really attractive. After setting up the controller,(It took literally 10 minutes), Everything was on line and running like it should without any problems. It is easy to install, nice to look at, and a breeze to program. The four plugs it comes with is good, but its not enough. We all need at least 6 and 8 is nice. I would encourage anyone to buy this that is searious about keeping reef tanks, not only does it take some of the stress away and bring some more enjoyment into your tank, but it keeps your tank inhabitants happy by offering them nice and steady parameters to live in. My temperature fluctuates less than half a degree throughout the day, and I have seen the difference that it can make in my corals and fish, its well worth the investement. Plus, if your going to buy timers for your lights, and a wavemaker for your pumps, you may as well just buy this and have an all in one that will expand with your tank. It will cost you around 20 bucks more short term, but long term will save you a load of cash. I am also running high power LED's on my tank as my main source of lighting, and this system makes it a breeze to control them automatically and dim them throughout the day. Its a great system hands down.

Liked about it I could list about 1000 things I like about this product...so here are some of the main ones.

Controls everything easily and without a problem
It will grow with your system and you can add more modules as you go, which is a little easier on the wallet.
It keeps parameters and times perfectly, which keeps my fish/corals/and me on a schedule thats easy to follow.
Its affordable
Its easy to hook up
Its easy to mount
Its easy to attach more modules without trying to figure out all these crazy numbers etc

Didn't like I mounted it on my cabinet rather low, well looking from above the screen flashes, but when you look at it head on, this is not noticable. So note to self when installing it, mount it somewhere thats really easy to look at and preferably somewhere thats close to eye level, so you dont notice the flashing that im getting.

I wish they would release the software to open up more options for storms, seasons etc etc.

I wish it was a little easier to update, Finding the update software is durn near impossible. I still havent found it. Not even sure such a thing exists?

So easy to use. I love it. featured

Comments I have used three different controller and this one by far is my favorite. It is a little restricted but for me does everything I need and more! The unit is very compact the head unit measures about 3"x2" and about 1/2" thick. It flush mounts and has a very clean look.

While this one may not have the features of some of the other controllers that cost 2x-3x more It is still very powerful.

I chose the level three because it was the best bang for my buck.

I do not like being limited to only 4 total modules. 2 two power strips (4 outlets each) already are two that leaves only two more left. But that being said of the 2 left there are only three others you could choose from.
SL1: Temp, Ph, ORP, 2 switches
SL2: Temp, PH, Salinity, 2 switches
MLC: Moon light controller (LEDs)

The reef keeper lite is able to Control the lights including moon lights in a true lunar cycle.
It has a feed timer and shuts off the pumps of my choosing for a amount of time I specify.
Day and night cycles that you can use to control pumps and power heads'
It can monitor Temp, PH, SG, & ORP
It will also display amperage being used by a power bar.
it has many Alarm Functions and will do thing like shut off your light if your temp gets too high or turn fans etc...

I really do love this unit. I highly suggest it. It is by far the easiest controller I have ever used!

Liked about it There are so many things I like about this unit. Is is compact and has mounting flanges. It is so simple to use, program and setup. It is a little limited but still very powerful and will cover the need of a large percentage of reef tank owners. Why buy a unit with lots of features you will never use. For what you get in any configuration the price is very reasonable.

Didn't like honestly other than being limited to 4 total modules there is nothing else I did not like.
I did have a few technical issues in the beginning but I pre-ordered this and got it 2 days after release and they quickly found a few bugs. In the future I suggest Digital aquatics do a little more Testing!

OMG!! Automation never been so Amazing

Comments Performs Awesome, Cant believe I went so many years without some type of comtroller. For the price it is awesome the lite version can not support many devices so be aware.Awesome for the money

Liked about it Simple to use, even simpler if you connect to a pc via usb.
Does everything I wanted and then some, kept buying more thing to control
Schedule is awesome
Easy navigation through the menu
Love the instant display and scroll to monitor tank

Didn't like Expandability, but I knew this before purchase. Would of purchased the non lite version if fully knew and experienced how awesome a controller is.
Updates are a little difficult

Definitely needed for any reef aquarium!

Comments I just got it for my still cycling 90 gallon tank! It definitely has the nice computer look to it and it also has allot of features to it :) It does match up with the pricing, but wish they could include more for what I was paying for, otherwise, the product performed great as usual.

Liked about it 1. I can control all of my electronics with just a PC4 from the reefkeeper
2. You can see what the average temperature, ph, etc from just the reefkeeper
3. really easy to use, doesn't come with that many wires and stuff
4. has the really nice reefkeeper lite look and makes your tank look more advanced

Didn't like 1. they could include some more probes for their RKL basic system.
2. I wish it included more PC4s for RKL basic, but im okay with just 1 :D
3. i wish the digital aquatics could include the pH probe for the RKL basic.

Must Have For Any Reef Tank

Comments Performed Better then what I expected, also has a great programming capabilities, Great value for the cost, I spent half of what I was going to spend on an ATO, Heat Controller, Chiller Controller, and Dosing timer.

Liked about it Easy to program, handled everything I needed for the heating/cooling, dosing, and ATO.

I have the SL1, so I have pH and ORP, sensors, so I can also add more controls and equipment.

Didn't like this unit works great, but is lacking on advanced programming support, but after about an hour I figured it out, but the under average programmer may get lost.

Also this Unit can only handle 4 modules, so I think I will be upgrading to the RKE soon.
