Wonderful product that really works.

This is a great product and like the previous review stated open visible wounds will heal over time. I for one have never used this is a display tank and would highly recommend using a hospital tank to treat the fish. I successfully used this on a fish that was part of a live rock avalanche. The fish had some minor scrapes on it but they were visible and open. It took about a week to work but the wound did heal and the fish did not seem to mind the medication being in the water at all.
I have used this product several times in my oscar tanks after they had some fights. The oscars would have open and sometimes bleeding wounds. In freshwater tanks I would dose the whole tank without running any carbon in the tank. After about a week or so I would do a water change and replace the carbon.

As good as advertised for open, unknown ulceration
| General |
I have used this product in the past to treat open ulcerations of unknown origin in my fish utilizing a q-tank. This product was utilized in conjunction with Melafix and is a "reef-safe" alternative to using copper. I would *not* recommend using this product openly in the display. There is an overall "blue" tint of the water when treating in this manner and the water has a "mentholatum" smell immediately.
After one dose and five days, the fish which were administered this medication showed visible healing and little effects of the previous wound. All fish recovered fully and have, over time, shown no ill effects of either the disease or the treatment. While this medication, to it's own admission, is not a cure-all and according to publication in well-known hobby monthly publications, is a mystery regarding it's active ingredients, it is relatively inexpensive and seems to be a safer alternative to copper. Use at your own risk however. |

The instructions were fairly forward and easy to administer. The product packaging is clean and easy to understand and not possibly be mistaken for another bottle in the home inventory by accident.
