This is great and takes care of one of my pet peeves featured

Comments I got this product when I got my first frag of acropora. It came on a little disk not a plug and no matter where I put it, the thing kept falling over. The branches of the coral were not evenly distributed which altered the center of gravity and that spelled me reaching into the tank every time I passed it to put the thing upright. It was a huge paid and detrimental to the health of the coral. With this product I was able to simply mash up some of the adhesive and place the coral where I needed it and there it stayed.

As strong as this is, it isn't so strong that you can't break it free when you need it to. This is great when using it to put rocks in place. I often find myself moving rocks around to a better position just to make the aquascape more visually appealing and it's nice to be able to just twist them and break the hold.

Even when exposed by moving the rock this product doesn't make the rock ugly because the color is so close to coralline algae. It isn't a perfect match, but very close. It also seems not to stand in the way of things growing over it as I've had it covered by protopalythoa and sponges alike.

Liked about it 1. Easy to use, just play with it for a little, sort of like clay, and it's ready to use
2. Nice color that matches closely to coralline algae
3. Affordable. At my local fish store this is cheaper than other products that do the same thing
4. Bond is strong but not so strong you can't break it away when you need to

Didn't like 1. If cold can be difficult to kneed.

AquaStik Red 4 oz. Consistant with similar product on the market

Comments The AquaStik Red 4 oz performs almost identical to similar epoxy sticks I have used previously. As with other porducts you must make sure the product is kneaded completely or it will have trouble holding. Instructions for use are straightforward and easy to understand. The one things that really sets this product apart from most others is the color. I felt it blended very nice with existing coraline algea.

Liked about it 1. The color is very nice. It blends in very nicely with existing coraline algea.
2. A little bit does seem to go a long way.
3. Once cured will hold very well.

Didn't like 1. Would be nice if this product could hold a little better before it cures. It is very difficult to hold heavy objects (rocks or acros) before it cures, which limits some of the more difficult aquascaping projects.

good quality epoxy for low-weight use

Comments This stuff is great for attaching small rocks and some corals in place when the tank is full and you need to work underwater. It's simple to use, just cut a piece off and knead it together until the color is consistent. Once done, just stick the two pieces together with the epoxy and you're good to go. It simple to use and will cure very strong, thought it's a bit weak before it has time to set.

Liked about it This stuff is cheap and very simple to use. I like the color as well, which is much more quickly to blend into the natural look of your rocks covered in coralline. The red aquastik is a good choice for any small rock work or coral placement.

Didn't like A couple of complaints about this product; first, it is pretty weak before it sets, so if you're hoping to have it hold rocks in place when uncured you'll be pretty disappointed (unless the rocks are rather light). Also, I've seen a few frags (particularly acropora species) react negatively if directly in contact with the uncured material. I suspect it's something to do with the exothermic nature of the substance as it cures, but that's simply speculation. Just use caution if you use this directly with corals.
