I first purchased this tool when I started doing planted freshwater aquariums because it has a scissor adaptation which I thought would be useful for cutting plants and save me money over expensive long-handled scissors. However, it wasn't useful at all in this way because the scissor attachment was not sharp, was cheaply made, and the necessary amount of force could not be applied to make them cut.
The claw attachment is very nice and useful and I still have this tool around for that reason. Do be careful of it because it is "toothed" for extra grip, but this can damage soft things you may pick up with it, for example that zoanthus that falls behind your rock work.
Since I still use the claw on this, I would say it was worth the money, but if your desire is to have scissors, forget it.

1. Folds in half for easy storage.
2. Easy to activate the grabbing action.
3. All plastic so it isn't affected by the salt water.

1. Scissor attachment doesn't work.
2. Claw has teeth so it might mar what you grab.
3. Too long. This makes it difficult to move around. There's a shorter version that works better for me.

I purchase this product mainly for the grabbing attachment. I only used the scissor attachment once and threw it away. It just didnt seem to want to cut anything. I do like the grabber though. I can get in and move things in my 90 gallon without getting wet. It is not expensive at all and has worked well for me for several months.

1. Well priced even considering the cutting tool didn't work very well.
2. Plastic design eliminates saltwater destroying it.
3.I have had good results with this nifty tool.

1. Cutting tool didn't work, it wasn't sharp enough and I was unable to cut anything.
Besides that I really don't have any other complaints.
