This siphon it very good for water changes. Not only can you siphon the sand, but you can also complete a water change at the same time. All you do is put part of the hose in the water and then you suck on the dry side. Water will continue to flow down. However, don't put your mouth on the tube for too long or else water will come into your mouth!

It's very good for picking up debris in both saltwater and freshwater systems. However, it couldn't pick up my red slime algae that I had a problem with. Another good thing about it was that it could easily be controlled by squeezing the tube and releasing it.

It's very long and it takes a long time for sand to go into the bucket. Most of the water that it sucks is not dirty at all. But other than that, I have no problems with it.

Pretty large so it can siphon out water fast, just need to shake it in the tank and the siphon starts

It isn't strong enough to suck up algae from the sand, it sucks up the sand instead
