Effective but cheap

Why would you make something like this for a marine tank which might rust? The product is a great concept however fails over the long term. After a few dips in the tank, I found this item rusted, if slightly which caused the tongs to "stick". I have unintentially "fragged" a few corals using this after they had fallen to the tank floor. Basically, this sticks after rusting requiring more "squeeze" force to close the tongs. When the correct amount of force is applied, the tongs finally give and snap closed as opposed to gradually closing. If you do not have the tongs lined up correctly with whatever you want to pick up, you end up with a broken/fragged item.
In all, not a bad item, just use a little spray cooking oil (very lightly) to keep moving parts from rusting and sticking between uses. |

The tube will fill up with water and spill out when tilted.
Not sensitive enough for moving corals.
