Great light at a great price and the acrylic shield is now included, not an extra purchase. featured

Installation and Operation To install this on my 90G tank I had to turn the legs on the mounting bracket over and that was not discussed in the instructions that were included. It was a quick fix once I realized that was what I needed to do. The light almost completely covers the top of my tank.

Performance vs. Expectations The acrylic shield now comes with the Tek Light, not just with the Tek Light Elite. I did have to pay about $60 for the legs but they are metal and won't break like the crappy plastic legs I had on prior light fixtures.

Value for money I just started using the light, but at this point I am extremely happy. It is well made and looks to be very durable. There is no plastic anywhere on this light. I paid $313.95 + the $60 for the legs from reekgeef and got free shipping.

Customer Support I haven't dealt with Sunlight Supply. I bought from reefgeek.com and they were super. Within 30 minutes of placing my order online they called to let me know that the light came with the shield and to ask permission to remove the one I was ordering at a cost of $34. Then a couple of minutes later he called back to verify that I only intended to order two bulbs.

My light arrived one day ahead of schedule which was really nice since I was using an old fixture with tired bulbs while I awaited its arrival. I will definitely order from reefgeek again.

Liked about it all metal design and the legs for tank mounting are very sturdy
the design is very pleasing to the eye
the individual reflectors really do a great job

Didn't like not being able to buy this item locally so I could go pick it up as soon as I decided what to buy

Great basic fixture! featured

Installation and Operation Installation was simple, just put the bulbs in and mount it. I had to purchase the leg kit that goes with it that runs about $65 dollars extra because I could not hang it in my canopy. I really like the two seperate on/off swithches and plugs, it allowed me to run my two outer actinics bulbs independantly from my daylights. I had them on a timer to come on 2 hours before my daylights and turn off 2 hours after.

Performance vs. Expectations Performance is great. The individual reflectors really do a great job of focusing the light into the aquarium.

Value for money For the money it is a nice fixture. You can pay more for a different fixture with moonlights, but overall this was a good value for a basic T5HO fixture.

Customer Support I purchased my fixture from reefgeek.com, I have not dealt directly with Sunlight Supply, but reefgeek.com's customer service was great. I ordered the fixture and received a call the next day from one of their customer service reps to help me pick out bulbs that would give me the effect I was after and be the most beneficial for my corals.

Liked about it Pros:
Sleek design
Runs cool
Very bright
Durable
Dual Ballasts

Didn't like Cons:
It would be nice if they included the protective acrylic lens instead of charging $40 extra for it.
Wish it would have come with legs instead of having to spend another $65 for them.

well worth the money

Installation and Operation easy to install with the addition of the tank bracket kit
easy operation low maintenance with the addition of the acrylic cover, makes it easy to clean

Performance vs. Expectations performed as expected

Value for money good value, i bought this light after i allready installed a retrofit kit should of bought this from the beginning

Liked about it like the clean look of this light
like the dual ballast and being able to run the light on a dusk to dawn set up

Didn't like had some trouble with installing the bulbs with the reflectors being so close together
could use a fan to help keep things cool specialy after installing the acrylic shield
