Worth The Money! featured

Installation and Operation The fixture is extremely easy to install. All the required hardware comes with the module and is fairly self explanatory. I screwed mone in from the underneath my canopy. You could also drop them down from a hole in the top.

Performance vs. Expectations The performance was above my expectations. These are my first leds and the color of my colors are magnificient under these lights. I was unprepared for just how much they made the color POP. I have since kept my halides off just because of the amazing color the panorama pros bring out.

Value for money They are somewhat expensive when compared to other lights, t5s/pcs. However, when comparing them to comporable leds the price is reasonable. I have three on my 55 gallon. With two more I could have plenty of light for most corals. This is well under the price for a full led system on this size tank.

Customer Support I emailed customer support to get their opinions on just how many of them I would need to get full coverage on my tank. With in 24 hours I had a reply from what seemed like a knowledgeable and helpful consultant.

Liked about it The best thing about these lights is the color of both my corals and fish. You will be amazed at the color explosion you get. I also enjoy the fact that heat is no longer an issue. With my halides I had to run two fans under my canopy at all times. With the leds there is almost no heat and I have since cut the fans off completely. The 50,000 hour light life is also a big plus. When compared to my 6 m,onth halide bulb replacement to money they will save me in the long run is mind boggling.

Didn't like The price.Understand that they are very reasonably priced. However, since I needed 5 they cost me a little more than I wanted to spend. I also didn't like that they do not come with their own power supply. The power supple is "sold seperately." So of course that costs you another 37 dollars. They do provide a three way splitter allowing your to conect three to one supply. In my case I had to order two and two splitters. Adding even more cost to the purchase.

Installation and Operation installation is very simple. it comes with all the hardware needed. you can either drop it in through a hole in the top of your canopy, or even just screw it in on the bottom side. it would be no problem because of the built in heat sink. the instructions are pretty simple, but then again so is installation-and the fixture itself.
simple plug and play, so far no maintenance other than wiping off salt build-up once in awhile.

Performance vs. Expectations i'd say that the lights performed just like the dealer said they would. great light output for the energy used, but the spread isnt all that impressive. penetration is decent, but thats because of the tighter concentration of light. i also love that theyre completely silent. heat sink=no fans. as of now i've got two over my 40B tank on the FRONT half, and on the BACK half of the tank i have a 2x90w PC, and the PC lights seem brighter in all honesty. HOWEVER... i have a mix of medium and low light corals under each light source. under the PC, everything is between 2-4" off the sandbed, and under the LEDs, everything is MAYBE 1" off the SB. there's more algae in the back (under the PC) and on a scale of 1-10, everything in the back half looks about a 6.5-7, theres almost no algae under the LEDs, and all livestock looks to be about a 7.5

i would've liked to see more spread and a little higher PAR output, but the sleek design, lower energy bills, and long lasting bulbs were hard to pass up
here's a rough pic of how my tank lighting is setup (top view)

Value for money for a solid built led fixture, i'd say $90-$95 isnt a BAD price, but i do feel they are a little overpriced.

Customer Support i haven't dealt with the company, however, i HAVE heard from the LFS owner where i got my Ecoxotic LED fixtures that they are very reasonable and very easy to deal with.

Liked about it -my corals seem to love it
-they have great output for the amount of energy used and have NICE clean/crisp looking light
-obviously all the benefits of using ANY LED system
-available in actinic/white/white-actinic mix
-water resistant
-QUIET! NO FANS!
-they REALLY make the colors in my corals just POP

Didn't like -not very good spread (i'll probably need 4 over my 40B tank to get all the light i can handle. but with 4 i could grow just about anything i want and still be under the budget of some LED systems out there)
-slightly overpriced (IMHO)
-cant link multiple fixtures
-no controller or switch of any kind
