Nice retrofit kit

Installation and Operation Installation time consuming but not hard. Mouting inside the hood is how I use it. Operation is easy with a complete instruction booklet and replacement parts listing.

Performance vs. Expectations This Aqualight Pro light fixture has 3 10,000K HQI Double-Ended Metal Halide Lamps with 4 96 watt True Actinic 03 Blue Compact Fluorescent Lamps and 4 1 watt Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow LED lights. Fan-cooled unit that is only 2.75" high and 15" wide. Perfect fit for my 220 gallon tank. The Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow LED create a shimmering effects while promting spawning cycles in corals and reef life. Wish I would of purchased the 250 Watt model, but this one works fine. Bulb replacement is easy to change.

Value for money Expensive but it does the job.

Customer Support Energy savers unlimited is the manufacturer. I did call them about the cooling fans and I was told the product was going out of business.

Liked about it Nice compact unit with 3 different light types to simulate dusk to dawn.

Didn't like Both colling fan transformers went out in 15 months.

Good Buy for the Money

General Very happy with the fixture and I would buy this again. The only thing I would do differently is I would put the extra money into the 250watt fixture as there is a SIGNIFICANT difference (a few of my friends have them and I have to see the difference in theirs all the time).

Liked about it -Easy to install with the option to hang is a definately plus
-Sleek Look for a Fixture
-Well vented through the top of the fixture
-The moonlights give the tank a nice very even glow

Didn't like -Changing bulbs means the fixture has to be completely taken off of the tank and flipped upside down then a series of panels need to be taken off one at a time to change out the bulbs. It isn't that hard but, it's just time consuming (luckily this only needs to be done basically once a year).
-Occasionally the legs on the fixture will break if a person is careless with them as they are only plastic
-When the ballasts kick in they can make a grinding noise which only lasts about 1 second
