Simple fixture 
| Installation and Operation |
I was given one of these fixtures when I bought my aquarium. The 50/50 bulbs did a decent job of illuminating the tank. I only had a few corals at the time and they seemed to be OK. In the beginning I thought it would be just fine. But I soon realized I would not be able to support an reef inhabitants such as an anemone with this light fixture. After one of the bulbs went bad, I decided more bulbs were needed and it was more cost effective to buy a better light fixture than it was to re-lamp the old one.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
I have no real way to measure the performance other than my opinion of how the tank looked with the lamp on. I thought it looked fine.

These fixtures are not very expensive, but you get what you pay for. This lamp is more suited to a fish only tank rather than a reef tank.

It was free so I really liked that part.
The 50/50 bulbs do a good job of illuminating the tank for my eye.

Light output is limited to 2 50/50 bulbs.
No cooling fans or lunar lights.
Bulbs need to be replaced at 6 month intervals.
