Excellent mid-priced T5 set up featured

Installation and Operation Installation was a breeze; pop in the bulbs, attach the legs, slide in the splash shield and this light could be up an running in roughly 30 minutes. Needs very little maintenance. Splash shield could be wiped down every so often to remove salt spray. The 6 bulb setup mitigates the need for over driven bulbs which helps extend bulb life. Finally, this fixture runs COOL, reduced temp in my tank by 2-4 degrees from my previous Coral life mufti-PC setup and in my opinion enhanced light quality.

Performance vs. Expectations One of my biggest questions with T5s was; "Can I have a clam, and will the light pentrate to the bottom of my tank?" -- I have had the Nova extreme pro for over a year on my 65 Gal tank (24" depth) and my Derasa clam (which sits on the bottom of my tank) has grown 1-2 inches over that time period.

Value for money Are there better T5 lights out there? Sure, but you'd be hard pressed to find an off-the-shelf product better than this one for the money. And if you're like me, simply making the move to T5s were a huge improvement from years of coral life power compacts.

Customer Support Knock on wood, but the fixture has not had any problems, so I can't comment here.

Liked about it 1. 2 light switches allow for the dawn, dusk effect
2. Very low amount of heat generated from these lights -- reduced tank temp and lessened need for chiller
3. Ability to support Derasa clam at 24" depth

Didn't like 1. May want to upgrade the mix of bulbs as well as the "Current" branded bulbs; there are better options out there but given how cheap T5 bulbs are I don't consider this a deal breaker
2. Legs are fairly short, splash shield should be wiped off probably 1x/month
3. Fixture might be a smidge too wide for some canopy's

Great Price for a Great Product

Installation and Operation Very easy to install and maintain.

Performance vs. Expectations Provides everything and more for what I wanted.

Value for money Yes.

Liked about it The unit stays cool and no temperature fluctuations. Corals are doing very good under this light. The replacement cost on the bulbs are better than other bulb types and they do not need to be changed as often. With a timer, a day night cycle can easily be established.

Didn't like The legs are not sturdy. I had a pair break on me and purchased a replacement. One leg broke within the first 2 months. I would like to see moonlights included in the product.
