works for me
| Installation and Operation |
not too much installation here, just plug it up and switch it on. i use light timers with mine and the actinics come on an hour before the daylight bulbs and stay on an hour after they turn off. the only maintenance i have to do is wipe off the plastic screen from salt build-up.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
it performs pretty well, it keeps my bubbletip anemone and my frogspawn coral pretty happy. the lunar lights are really cool they allow me to view some inhabitants that otherwise i would rarely see. the actinics really get the fluorescent colors of corals and anemones to pop, and the daylight is pretty bright
|
| Value for money |
this is one of the lowest priced fixtures on the market, and it brought my aquarium from a fish only to a reef tank. it is kind of a beginner fixture, i feel that i should probably have a little more light in my tank, but for now it will work just fine. overall i believe it is a great value for the money and definitely gets the job done.

| Liked about it |
i really like the way the actinics bring out the colors in the corals and fish. the lunar lights are really cool and give you extra viewing opportunities. it has a built in fan, and it comes with mounting hardware
|
| Didn't like |
i wish it would have came with another fan installed, there is a space for one but when you pop it out there is nothing inside. price of replacement bulbs. after reading reviews and various lighting topics online i wish i would have went with a nice t5 fixture

They're good
| Installation and Operation |
Installation and operation is very easy Ill give it that, I dont remember they're being any instruction so i probobly didnt even look at them, maintenance is easy and there is not much required
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
Performs well, but my expectations were a little highthinking i would be able to keep any corals I wanted under these lights and it turns out they're only good for low light corals
|
| Value for money |
I think the price is a little high so a product so limiting
|
| Customer Support |
Yes I have dealt with Coralife and I have to say the customer service "support" was awsome, I called to get some info and I left a meassage and was called back the same day and they even called back a couple days later to check in on how things were going, very goos customer support
|
| Liked about it |
I liked the easy control of the lights, easy maintnance and nice look of the fixture
|
| Didn't like |
The bulbs are very hard to take out of the fixture, the moon light LED's went out on mine like 2 months after I got the product, other than that theres isnt anything else I didnt like

Great PC Fixture
| Installation and Operation |
Extremely easy to install, just set over tank and done. Can be used with stilts that come with or set over (glass) canopy. Very easy to operate and maintain, just wipe down inside and splash lense every month or so. No maintenance except to change the bulbs accordingly.

| Performance vs. Expectations |
Product performs very well, separate power cords are awesome
|
| Value for money |
This product is a good value for money, however if have a little extra I would seriously get T5's.
|
| Customer Support |
I did not deal with the company, purchased off Craigslist.
|
| Liked about it |
1)has 3 separate power cords for the day, actinic, and moonlights.
2)Led's are not too bright, create a nice night-light.
3)splash lense is rigid and good quality

Decent for smaller tanks, but not great
| Installation and Operation |
Easy to use. Fairly low maintence, but runs very hot so make sure to wipe down splach shield, replace lights in the morning before the lights have been running.
|
| Performance vs. Expectations |
Can meet the old style watt per gallon needs for smaller tanks, but the power compact fixture runs very hot. Over time the heat will likely warp the splash shield and may actually cause it to crack. If trying to avoid metal halides at least give T5s some consideration, I can't recommend power compact fixtures.

| Liked about it |
Can meet watt/gallon needs for smaller tanks, lunar LEDs are a nice touch and PC lights offer a few different bulb combinations

Too much heat, low energy efficiency, too pricey for the quality of light
