Can be used with stilts that come with or set over (glass) canopy. Very easy to operate and maintain, just wipe down inside and splash lense every month or so. No maintenance except to change the bulbs accordingly. Performance vs. Expectations Product performs very well, separate power cords are awesome Value for money This product is a good value for money, however if have a little extra I would seriously get T5's. Customer Support I did not deal with the company, purchased off Craigslist. Fairly low maintence, but runs very hot so make sure to wipe down splach shield, replace lights in the morning before the lights have been running. Performance vs. Expectations Can meet the old style watt per gallon needs for smaller tanks, but the power compact fixture runs very hot. Over time the heat will likely warp the splash shield and may actually cause it to crack. If trying to avoid metal halides at least give T5s some consideration, I can't recommend power compact fixtures.
