GE 39W 6500K Daylight

Full spectrum daylight bulb with high-output to encourage coral growth. Good for bringing out the greens in an aquarium. We recommend using it in combination with 1 or more Blue Plus bulbs. Mean Lumens: 1740....

good output, bad color

Comments These bulbs have some of the highest PAR outputs for T5s, but at a sacrifice in color. If you prefer a whiter/bluer coloration, the 10000-14000K bulbs can provide 90% of the PAR output, so it's hard to justify these daylight bulbs. I've never experienced better coral growth as a result of using these bulbs.

Liked about it Output is great. If you're really geared towards coral growth, you may be more likely to consider these bulbs. If you're in it for a very attractive display, I would recommend looking at other bulbs.

Didn't like Again, the color. I dont think the output outweighs the color loss for using these bulbs.

Good for Chaeto

Comments Good for a old fixture that you have laying around. Go ahead and put this bulb over your sump and grow some Chaeto to keep you nutrients down.

Liked about it White enough to grow green algae.

Didn't like Not blue/white enough for a salt water display tank.
