Great supplement to halides

In my opinion, actinics are a must if you want high powered metal halides like 10,000k's that can be very yellow but are much better for growing corals than higher K bulbs. I run 2 of these on an Icecap 660 ballast along with 2 10k reeflux bulbs above my 90 gallon and the color is a perfect white with a hint of blue.

Liked about it	These bulbs washed out any yellow in the metal halide bulbs and made my corals really glow. The VHO bulbs also put out a large amount of light themselves, adding to your already powerful halides and aiding in coral growth. You also dont need to mount reflectors into your canopy with these bulbs, so they only take up a very small amount of space.
Didn't like	The only thing I don't like about these thin fluorescent bulbs is that they are fragile, but that is a problem with most bulbs. Other than that these bulbs are great, I would highly recommend them.
