I got 2 of these to supplement my 2-150w metal halides. I think they have a great color, they really make the greens pop. And they are much brighter than the power compact actinics that I replaced them with. These bulbs are mainly used to make the colors stand out more IMO, and shouldn't really be counted on the add significant PAR. But if you are looking for a good actinic supplement to make your colors pop this is a good choice.

The actinic color was very close to what I was expecting it to be, even a little better than I thought it would be. They make certain colors really pop or stand out , and create a good contrast effect.

quality bulb, average output

A decent bulb by a great manufacturer, but below average on PAR output. Would recommend looking at other brands for bulbs in this Kelvin rating (color range). However, if being used with some of the other bulbs by Geissmann (such as their 6kK or their 11kK) it could be a good solution.

Very reliable bulb, great life, and a nice color. It will really help bring out the fluorescence of many corals.

Pretty low PAR output, so nothing you'd want to use for coral growth.
