Good bulb for growth

Since 175w MH bulbs typically produce less par than most SPS corals prefer, using the Ushio 10k bulb helps to provide a bulb with decent par, great reliability, and decent color. Out of all the 175w bulbs available, the Ushio 10k bulb is my preferred bulb on tanks with supplemental lighting. |

The Ushio 175w, 10k bulb is a good bulb for coral growth and the coloration is good if you run the bulb with actinic supplemental lighting. The bulb is very reliable and is a quality light bulb.

Without supplemental lighting, the bulb is too yellow in appearance for most reef keepers.
