Definitely Worth the Monrey

Comments I purchased Nori from the local oriental market and the mimic (chocolate tang) would not touch it. I purchased the Julian Spring green version and placed it in the clip and my Mimic Tang tore into it and hasn't stopped. No garlic needed! He does not touch the red however.

At first, I placed 1/2 sheet in the tank for the Mimic tang daily. I realized the turbo snails were eating a good bit and then started cutting the pieces into 1/4's and feeding every other day. This is the pattern I am currently on. The Mimic tang looks very healthy with vibrant coloring. He looks forward to this snack.

Liked about it 1. small size (cut these into 1/2)
2. thinner than the Nori I purchased
3. the Mimic tang ate it!

Didn't like 1. Will disolve after several hours.
2. Turbo snails will eat it. Competition for the fish!

Excellent source of nutrition and phosphates.

Comments Nutrition good! Phosphates bad!
Keeping SPS I strive for an extremely clean tank. It's a fine line between keeping the fish well fed and healthy and my tank clean. I do not add this too often. Maybe once a week. But the fish do tear it up!. I use to add it more often and woudl always see pieces of uneaten stuck in the rocks where I could not get it out. This is organic and will break down into nitrates and phosphates. Use it sparingly and make sure it all gets eaten.

When I have a new fish ot sick one I will usually pull out 1/2 a sheet of this and soak it with garlic. That usually does the trick to get them to eat. garlic does nto work so well on flakes and pellets. seaweed works very well for garlic.

Liked about it Easy to add to the tank and the fish love it.
An excellent source of nutrition for herbivorous.
great to use when you are using garlic.

Didn't like It can pollute the water if left in the tank to decompose.
Gets too soft too quick. It begins to fall apart within 5 minuets.

Great seaweed to add as a supplemental food

Comments This product is a great dietary addition for most large fish, especially surgeonfish and rabbitfish. I use it a couple times a week, adding full sheets for the fish to pick on throughout the day. I find this product to be a bit thinner than commonly found nori sheets at the supermarket, but it is higher quality.

Liked about it Good size sheets, this algae is easy to use and doesnt dissolve very quickly when in the water.

Didn't like Comes in small packages. I would prefer to buy more sheets at a time to save overall unit cost, but overall it's not a terrible value. some may find the sheets a little thin, but I just fold it over a few times before sticking it on the clip and it works fine.

Great product

General I used to manage a large tropical reef tank with over 40 Tangs. They would go through a pack of this per day and just devoured it.

I would mix the 3 varieties in different combination as to give the fish some variety, but all of the animals consuming the SeaVeggies remained healthy and behaved normally.

Liked about it Easy to prepare, all herbs love it.
