Buy fresh or buy Hikari these krill aren't the best featured

Comments There are two reasons that I don't recommend these krill. First, I like to feed vitamin enriched krill such as the Hikari brand. These are not enriched, though they do contain a good amount of protein and fat. They also contain, according to the label, a max of max 15.38% ash. Secondly, they are like a bag of potato chips, you start out with nice big chips, but by the time you get down the bag a bit there's nothing but broken pieces. Same with these krill. This might not be a problem if you are using the krill to feed smaller fish and can easily just drop the small broken pieces into the tank, but if you are looking to feed larger pieces to an anemone, or puffer, it just won't do. Even further down the jar you are left with just powder.

San Francisco Bay products are generally good products but their krill is not a stand out for me.

Freeze dried krill are so much easier to feed than frozen and if you don't have a freezer to put them in (many people don't like to put them in with the human food) then this allows you to keep them right next to the tank.

Even though this is a good product I am not likely to buy it again because I feel Hikari makes a much better version.

Liked about it 1. Affordable.
2. Easier to keep and use than frozen.

Didn't like 1. Floats and must be soaked before feeding to anemone.
2. Pieces break up easily leaving fewer whole krill for use than I would like.
