Prime Reef cube review
| General |
I use this in my tank 1-2 times a week, I try to vary the diet. I have had good luck with the Ocean Nutrition brand and the prime reef has natural- key ingredients. I experimented with defrosting it in a cup of water and once it breaks up it is very messy and my small fish (Damsels and Clown) will eat it but only the larger chunks and the rest becomes sea snow for the crabs. My large fish don't even touch it. If you put it in your tank once it becomes mussy, it sinks quickly and will mostly go un-eaten. I seem to have the best luck when it is frozen and left floating in the tank.
I have learned to cut the cubes into 1/3 and feed them smaller portions of different types of foods rather than larger portions which will go uneaten. I like the product but there is a learning curve with it and my Tangs, Angles + puffer do not eat it and I was hopping they would. I noticed that I wrasse will eat it without any problems. |
