I haven't used this stuff as directed, but it would be easy to do if someone wanted to do it. It features a medicine dropper type applicator with easy to read increments. I add about a half a bottle of this stuff when I make my own reef food. I make about 5 pounds of reef food at a time which lasts quite a while. There's enough here to make 10lbs of food in my case. The only thing that would make this stuff easier to use is if the fish fed themselves. Helps bring out the bright colors in coral and fish.

great food additive for intermittent use

This is a good additive that can be used to bolster the nutrition of your fish's diet, as well as increase the likelihood of them acclimating to a captive diet (for new additions). It's very easy to use and doesnt require refrigeration in my experience (at least it's never been advertised that it's needed). Simply soak the food with this product for a short while before introducing it to the tank and your in good shape.

This is a very simple additive to use. It comes with a dropper in the top (like childrens medicine, for example), so dumping it right onto the food is easy to do. It seems to last for a while, and I've had good success with using it. It's a good way to increase fatty content of food and add some vitamins to your tank's diet.

About the only drawback of this product is that it will increase overall nutrient content if used extensively. I only use it when needed (such as fish look unhealthy or with new additions). Otherwise it's a great product to use.

Great stuff but use sparingly.

This stuff id packed with Amino acids and vitamins. But use sparingly our you will pay with horrible algae out breaks. I have used this for many thing. I "gut load" mysis and brine for seahorses. and I have also mixed it with frozen mysis for corals and ill fish. This does to a great job of helping a fish heal and coral recover from either neglect or injury. But do not use to much or you will have an algae out break. Yu also need to shake very well. This is very fatty and will separate if it sits very long.

Easy to use. Pretty cheap and lasts a long time.
Is used sparingly it will pollute the water so use with caution.
It works it is very effective for Seahorses, marine fish and just about every coral.

I soak my frozen foods in it every time. Ups the nutritional value of all the foods. Crude proteins aren't enough to keep the fish healthy as in all living things. Fish have begun to to act more excited at feeding time.

Excellent additive

Nutritional deficiencies in the reef is just asking for trouble. I like to ensure that my inhabitants are getting proper nutrition. Soaking food with a product like this is a good idea, especially when adding a new fish. I am sure it helps the filter feeders also.

Feed the 1 day old brine shrimp.

If you are going to wait a day to feed out your brine shrimp that just hatched, then feed them Selcon to help build their nutritional value.
