I swear by Hikari products as having the highest quality and nutritional value for my fish. I've never fed blood worms to my marine fish but have used them extensively for my freshwater fish. I am particularly fond of tetras of various kinds. For those of you who keep tetras (ember, neons, emperor, serpae, etc.) you have learned that color is directly proportional to health and stress in your fish. An unhealthy glow-light tetra will scarcely shine. Even your small fish will take these readily and as they are vitamin enriched will show greater color for the increased nutritional value provided. I keep dwarf puffers and they simply go insane over these.
They come in a easy to use button container designed so each portion can simply be popped out, rinsed and fed to the fish.
Hikari is slightly more expensive than other brands but because the quality is so much higher than their competitors I feel it is well worth it. I've tried other brands and was honestly stunned at the difference in Hikari.

1. The packages come in a cardboard sleeve which I learned early on to remove as it can insulate the contents allowing them to thaw out and making them messy to work with.

great treat for small to medium fish

This product is great. I feed this every evening while giving flakes in the morning for a balanced diet. The product is frozen which is far more convent than fresh, and easier to keep on hand. My wife will not feed fresh but because they are not moving she can get by to feed this product.

The worms are just the right size for small to medium fish, not able to take down large food items. The worms are a bright red and look to be packaged in very good heath. This food item is readily taken by all fish even the picky feeders. I sometimes wash/defrost them prior to cut down on added waste but i have never had a problem with not doing so.

In smaller tanks and quarantine situations the cubes are a little to large and i find myself having to portion them down.
