Out of the box, rinsed everything off, poped the pipe together. Its on the tank.

I LOVED Marineland for my freshwater aquarium, but for my saltwater....
NO!
I Have bought three filters already, spending almost $100! Within a month they get loud, not loud enough to annoy you in the day, but at night! OH BOY! My newest filter got loud in one week!

Its an okay value. But they make most of their money off the replacement cartridges, which are very expensive.
The average price for $9.99 (3pk) at the store, Lowest I've seen if for $8.99 (3pk)
So consider replacing the filter cartridges once every two weeks It will cost about $6.50/ Month to keep the filter running with new filter cartridges. That's almost $80 a year! A real eye opener.

Decent HOB for a QT or small FO system

Like most HOBs it is durable and relatively simple. It has some flaws for reef applications but is good for a small quarantine or fish only tank. |
