Awesome HOB!

General This will work GREAT for any tank. If you run it in a reef, ditch the bio ceramics and put in another sponge. Keeps your water primo!

Liked about it Great quality!
Will take a little sand through the pump without burning up
Easy to change media
Durable
Easy to modify as a HOB refugium

Didn't like Filter media wasn't enough.
Stronger pump would have been nice, but not entirely needed.

I LOVE this filter!

General I use these for my freshwater and saltwater tanks.

Liked about it Aquaclears are great hang-on-back filters. They don't clog as badly as cartridge-style filters, and I find that they put out great flow. Also, I like the flexibility they offer with the three-stage media - you can easily put in a bag or whatever media you want.

AC70 Review

General I had one of these on a 75G SW tank and never had any issues with the tank until we put a true skimmer on it. Put the AC70 back on it and everything was fine. Would recommend again and if mine breaks, will get another to replace it.

Liked about it It kept the water pristine for me, as odd as that sounds for an HOB filter. Very easy to clean and maintain.

Didn't like Not enough media came with it to fill it with the little balls/noodles that come with it.
