I've had several over the years and they seem to work forever. The only draw back and I'm being picky here is taking the intake tubing out to clean it. It can be a little difficult to remove for cleaning. Other than that I would say buy it! One I modified into a hong on the back refugium for a ten gallon nano and it worked great. I had it setup woth three chambers. A pump chamber, heater chamber, and refugium chamber. Made a great filter system for the nano. The second filter I used for circulation and intermittent chemical filtration in a 20 gallon nano. Again, it worked very well for the application.
