Does a good job of mechanical filtration, fair job of chemical filtration. I am not sure how high quality the carbon is.

It is hard to clean the pad before it is ready to be thrown out. A little pricey for the short duration of life you get from this. If you use the black filter frame you cannot place anything else in the back of your filter.
