Cold be better

Comments Picked these up to add to the inlet to my sump system. Seemed sturdy in construction with an adjustable pull-string at the opening. Bag did tend to slip off the inlet tube numerous times but was remedied by using a zip-tie to hold it on. The size of the mesh allowed it to capture most of the debris in the water yet maintain a high volume of flow through it so I didn't have to throttle back the return pump flow.

Liked about it Cheap
Found at most pet stores in my area.
Size of netting allowed for high volume of water to pass through it.

Didn't like Ended up using a zip-tie over the pull string as it kept coming undone or simply sliding over the lip and off the inlet tube.
Don't tend to clean up well, but for the low cost buying new ones is simple.

A must have for the Marine Aquariest

Comments I found these at my LFS for 4.25 each. it is one of those things that you need to just have around and will use occasionally except for media like carbon and phosphate.

Liked about it Durable nylon material, string synch closing system is durable as well. just tie a knot and what ever is in won't get out. I put a squid (dead) that I use to fish with in one of these bags to cycle my tank. It was in the sump for three weeks even though there was not much left from the decay it kept the loose remaining parts in the bag. not on the bottom of my sump.

Didn't like Nothing.

Excellent media sock

Comments Great sock for placing near overflows of a tank or sump to ensure water is contacted before return. I generally place a knot in the drawstring after inserting media and have found the knot is easily undone when needed.

Liked about it Works as expected.

A lot sturdier than I thought

General I bought 2 more after using one bag for a month, no more used nylons.

Liked about it Very sturdy, holds a lot of material.

Didn't like Draw string top makes me a little nervous about media coming out, granted nothing has come out yet.
