I used this once on my previous freshwater tank. My hardness was very high and I used it to being it down. It worked great for me, it brought my hardness down a ton within a week of use. I didn't notice any problems or issues.

Waste of money...IMO

This thing was useless in my situation. I had a problem with water hardness in my freshwater set-up. I bought two of these and started alternating them and re-charging according to directions (which are semi-vague). I didn't see any drop in my hardness in over a month of use. Thinking I was doing something wrong, I purchased two more and they didn't fare any better. Stick with properly prepared water - RO/DI and avoid the headache of hard water and wasting you money ion this "snake oil" |
