Good Dosing Pumps
Installation and Operation
To install these, there is a backing plate that you put into position and screw into place. The pump simply slides into position from there. To remove it, you press on a "button" on the backside of the pump, and it comes right off. Maintenance is a breeze and the parts are heavy duty. No cheap parts here!

Performance vs. Expectations
The product does exactly as I expected. BRS does video reviews on their website and that leaves all the guesswork out of it. For what they are, I'm extremely happy with them.
|
Value for money
The price was a little steep (especially when you purchase multiple pumps as I did); but it really is worth it. I've run these pumps for some time now, with zero failure and zero replacement parts. They live up to my expectations and are worth the money spent for them.

Customer Support
I worked with Ryan/BRS. He's great to work with! He actually talked with me for some time about different ways of supplementing Ca, Alk, and Mg but in no way did he bash one method vs. the other. How could he? He's a reefer like us and has done it all. Everything he educated me on was the same as my tank is responding. I couldn't be happier with their Customer Support.

Liked about it
1) Ease of installation. 2) Ease of calculating my tank's needs. 3) Quality of construction.
|
Didn't like
1) There's air in the lines and there's nothing I can do about it. I always worry about that, but my levels stay intact... 2) They aren't the prettiest looking pumps. For the price you pay you would expect something a little nicer looking (maybe that's just me, though). 3) I really wish there was a way to adjust the speed on these things, but that might just be wishful thinking on my part. :)

Super accurate dosing pump
Installation and Operation
These pumps are really easy to install. They have a bracket that you mount on the wall and then the pump just pops on the bracket. So if you need to take the pump off the wall to clean or service it you don't need any tools. You just have to push a tab and lift it off the bracket. There is very minimal maintenance, you have to replace the santoprene tubing every year or so.

Performance vs. Expectations
They have performed great for me. I have measured the output a few times from each pump, and every time it was spot on what it should be. They have been very consistent. And they have not back siphoned once since I have had them. Which is major for a dosing pump, because if they do then you will not get an accurate dose each time.

Value for money
They are a good value for the money. They won't back siphon like some other pumps in the same price range. You don't need check valves for it to hold its siphon which is a huge benefit and the sign of a quality pump in my opinion.

Liked about it
I liked how easy it was to mount them. And how silent they are, I can't even hear them when they are running. The first time I only knew they were on because the rotor was spinning. And I like the compression fitting to hold on the hoses a lot better than the simple barb fittings many others have.
