Fast grower...

Comments Anthellia can be a tricky coral too keep, but after it sets in, look out... it'll grow like fire! It's a decent looking coral that resembles Xenia without the pulsing heads. It likes lots of flow and does well even in higher nutrient tanks. Non-reef folks (friends and relatives) love the swaying movement and think it's one of the coolest corals in the tank.

You should exercise caution though when adding it to a tank. It's best if kept isolated as it will spread quickly and can smother other corals.

Liked about it Lots of movement in higher flow tanks, grows quickly.

Didn't like Can smother other corals, will take over a tank if not properly tended.

A great beginer coral but beware....

General I have always had some of these corals in my tank whether I wanted them or not. They are a great beginner coral and near impossible to kill. Be sure to isolate them from the rest of your rock or they will take over your tank.

Liked about it Fast growing
Great look as they sway in your tank.
Very easy to keep.

Didn't like They spread like wild fire.
They are very aggressive and will completely cover other corals.
Not the greatest color.

GSP- The grass of the sea

General Very easy to keep coral. A little shy to open up when first put into tank. Encrusting mat grows quickly. Love to watch the waves it makes just like an open field. Love motion and something to look at. This is it for sure. Great beginner coral. Easy to multiply- place it touching another rock.

Liked about it Beautiful flowing motion.
Hardy.
