JBJ 1/2hp commercial series in line chiller

Overall the JBJ Commercial series chiller is a excellent product for the price. It is well made and raises the bar for chiller design.

Liked about it

I recently replaced my Delta Star 1/4 hp chiller with the JBJ commercial series 1/2 hp chiller. I have been using this product for approx 3 months. Chiller is on a 120g tank with a 50g sump.

The chiller is well made and has a very large fan to increase efficiency. Fan is large enough to push air 4'-5' away from the unit.

The remote controller is top notch and very accurate.

Plumbing is easy with several options to use flexible hose or hard pipe.

Didn't like

Commercial series has shorter warranty than the Artica titanium series.

Unit is very loud. Not for use inside the home setting. Best used in a remote wet room.

Chiller is only rated for 150 gallons. That is very small for a 1/2 hp unit. Comparable 1/2hp units can handle much larger volume. If you have a larger tank consider a 1hp or larger.
