As with any book you have to read it. This book is not the kind of book you buy and read cover to cover. it is more of a general reference guide to solving may of the algae problem we reefers get when we get lazy or some kind of hitch hiker.
The book also covers some herbivores such as snails, and different fish that either include algae in their diet or algae is the only thing they eat.
It also covers some common types of bacteria that are commonly mistaken as algae.

Easy to reference material, great photos for proper identification. what the function is in nature and what the function can be in the reef tank or refugium and also how to eradicate if the algae is an undesirable type.

It very short, there must be more algae out there than what is covered in the book.
