Carbon polishes the water to make it clear and reduce DOC's. Liked about it Custom sized for the Red Sea Max 130D .Fits very nice down under the 2 power heads. Very good quality carbon .Nice packaging and the mesh bag has a nice micro size to allow more water to pass through and not clog up as quick Didn't like Nothing really .
