I found the Hagen Air Curtain to be a better product
Installation and Operation
This is an easy product to install, just clip on the suction cups and insert the end into the air hose. I did find the suction cups had a limited lifespan. After a few months they became hardened and so lost their suction power, at which point it wanted to float.

Performance vs. Expectations
I use these in my freshwater tanks as part of the aquascape. I like to put them under the rock so the bubbles rise up out of the gravel. Normally I like them just under the surface because then it only needs a small air pump. Once the suction cups went on this I had to really bury it deep to keep it from floating and when I did that the bubbles would hardly come up so I had to put on a bigger pump.
I also found that it quickly became clogged with detritus and needed cleaning. This might not be as big a pain for you, as it was for me. Like I mentioned, I kept them under the rock so I had to sort of dig it up and rebury it.
As mentioned in the title I ended up buying the Hagen version of this and found it to be a much better product.

Value for money
Though this wasn't an expensive product, cheaper than the Hagen version, it wasn't worth it because it clogged and the suction cups failed.

Do not use with sand subsitrate.
Installation and Operation
Pretty easy to install to sides of tank but hard to move sand aside to stick to bottom. Low maintenance.

Liked about it
I liked how thin and easily hidden it was. I liked the amount of bubbles it released. I liked how evenly it spread the bubbles.
|
Didn't like
In sand the bubbles constantly uncover the tube. The suction cups did not keep their hold.
