ok me personally i only half dose my tank to make sure i never over shot it or cause to big of a change so my corals dont stress much. Keep that in mind when dosing with any product other than a water treater like prime but i have had very nice ph after using this product. Now remember once dosed you have to wait a few hours before testing again because it will show high at first. No matter what kind of reef buffer you use it will raise you Kh so watch them levels also.

great alkalinity additive

A great product for dosing alkalinity, but pay heed; using this as a pH buffer alone (without understanding the alkalinity/calcium relationship in the tank) will cause chemistry problems. Dosing this product raises alkalinity, so use it with that in mind.

This product works well, it dissolves quickly and cleanly. If you follow the directions you should have very little issues with use, but pay careful attention to alkalinity measure when using.

The costs of using this long term compared to DIY or generic bulk products is probably high, maybe even cost prohibitive. I also think that the affects on alkalinity are not well advertised, as I often come across folks who use this just for pH impacts without understanding the results to overall tank alkalinity.

I always have a container of this for all my reef tanks. It is very simple and easy to use and I'll usually dose when I do a big water change or notice that my levels are off. It also maintains my pH level very nicely. When you do dose with this make sure not to over do it or it can do harm to your tank and make sure that you keep an eye on your Alk levels also since this will change them also. When I do dose with this I usually just measure out the amount needed and pour it into a cup with fresh RO water and stir it up and just directly add it to the tank. It may make your tank a little cloudy at first but that usually goes away within minutes of you pouring it into the tank.
