Great food additive, fish love it...

Seachem's Garlic Guard is a garlic based food additive for marine and fresh water fish. It's a natural means of enticing even the pickiest of eaters to feed. especially if you have to medicate their food for some reason. You only have to add a small amount to your frozen or dried foods to do the job so the bottle lasts a pretty long time.
Some folks say it helps to fight off ich as well. I've used it before when my fish have a few specs of ich on them for one reason or another and it does seem to help, but there's no technical data proving it can ward it off. |

Smells like garlic
| General |
While I'm not sold on whether this product is more useful than fresh, crushed garlic, it's relatively cheap and easy to use when soaking food. What I don't care for, though, is that it has no expiration date (at least when I've bought it), so knowing how long it is still effective/fresh is a challenge. If you don't use it often, it will likely go bad before the bottle is used. |
