Smells like garlic featured

Comments While I'm not sold on whether this product is more useful than fresh, crushed garlic, it's relatively cheap and easy to use when soaking food. What I don't care for, though, is that it has no expiration date (at least when I've bought it), so knowing how long it is still effective/fresh is a challenge. If you don't use it often, it will likely go bad before the bottle is completely used.

Liked about it This is relatively inexpensive and very easy to use. In the liquid form, being able to soak food is a lot more straight forward than using a crushed garlic clove, so that I do like. It does seem to help with getting fish's attention, but I've never been completely convinced that it actually helps a fish's overall health (more so that would be the byproduct of a healthy diet).

Didn't like Most specifically I don't care for the fact that this product, among many in the hobby, do not include an expiration date or best-by date. As a result, this may cause you to use a product that's well beyond it's best use, so I'd caution that you mark when you bought it and not use it for more than about 6 months at worst. If you're anything like me, you won't come near the bottom of the bottle by the end of that time.

A great product for added garlic to your fish food. A very good value for the money.

Comments Product is very easy to use. Added a capful to a few days worth of food allows an easy addition of garlic to the fishes diet. With the addtion of Garlic Guard the fish in the tank become renzied during feeding time.

Liked about it 1. Very easy to use.
2. Last a long time. Just a capful added to 3-4 days of food.
3. You can really smell the garlic.

Didn't like Not much to dislike about this product. The only drawback is the stong smell of garlic will make you hungry :-)

Great food additive, fish love it...

General Seachem's Garlic Guard is a garlic based food additive for marine and fresh water fish. It's a natural means of enticing even the pickiest of eaters to feed. especially if you have to medicate their food for some reason. You only have to add a small amount to your frozen or dried foods to do the job so the bottle lasts a pretty long time.

Some folks say it helps to fight off ich as well. I've used it before when my fish have a few specs of ich on them for one reason or another and it does seem to help, but there's no technical data proving it can ward it off.

Liked about it Easy to use, fish love it, bottle lasts fairly long time.

Happy Fish

Comments I have used this product to help induce eating by my picky eaters with great results, and also to get my sun coral to open up at feeding time. Now after a couple weeks just a 1/4 capful added to the tank and the sun corals and fish are ready to eat. I also had a recent outbreak of marine Ich and began to use this product after the inital treatment of the tank the fish seem healthier and happier.

Liked about it (1)the fish like it (2)reasonably priced (3)no occurances of Ich since I started using it.

Didn't like no bad comments
