Great for initial setups

Comments I've used this on every new tank I've set up since I got into the hobby in 2002. Works great at removing listed chemicals from water. However, ammonia shouldn't need to be removed after a tank is established and if you're using RODI water for changes it isn't necessary. Even a small bottle of this should be on hand for emergency situations where tap water (which is notorious for huge doses of chlorine) must be used in a tank. It's not expensive and works better than similar products made by other brands.

Liked about it Does its job and does it well. Fantastic in an emergency situation where tap water is the only choice. Available in smaller sizes since it's not a product that needs to be used constantly.

Didn't like The odor is kinda gross, but nothing other than that.

Everyone needs to buy this!

Comments This product is great. Although I suggest removing nitrates, nitrites and ammonia manually through water changes, I do recommend this product if one is having a hard time controlling them. Bacterial blooms can be reduced by using this product. I use Ro water which doesn't need any de-cholorinating or conditioners added to it, but it adds extra fighting power which makes water changes all the more worth while. But this is not a substatute for water changes by any means.

Liked about it I liked the efficency of the product, it really helps in urgent situations when nitrates are high. It another one of those products that you just have to have in your cabinet if something goes wrong. Another plus is that its reef safe and nothing is affected by it unless of course you add to much product.

Didn't like The only thing I didn't like about this product is the odor! It stinks, but once you put it in the water, the odor stops. But it is non-toxic.

A must if using tap water.

Comments Although tap water is not suggested for Reef Tanks it is acceptable for Fish only tanks and of course fresh water tanks. Personally I use only RO/DI water in my tank but do always have a bottle of this on have in case of emergency. Another unique use for this products if for removing chlorine after rinsing rocks and other equipments in bleach. One time I bleached about 100 pounds of live rock and instead of letting it air dry for week I used this product to remove the chlorine.

If in a emergency you have to use tap water in your reef tank this product will remove all the chlorine, ammonia, and chloramine. not the best alternative but better than straight tap water.

You normally will not need a entire gallon but why not keep it around? Just in case.

Liked about it It does whats it's suppose to do. It removes Chlorine, Chloramine and ammonia from tap water all of which are toxic to marine life.

Didn't like There really is nothing that I dislike about this product.
