Bryopsis killer!

Comments Used it to up my mag levels to exterminate bryopsis. And wow did it do the job beautifully. The algae simply withered away to nothing and was gone within two weeks. Couldn't be happier with this product as far as availability, easy to use, and price. If your battling bryopsis and you want to put it to rest....Tech M is the easiest thing available.

Liked about it Killed bryopsis within a couple of weeks, I have been battling the stuff for months.
Keeps mag levels where they should be if you follow the instructions, which is rare.
Affordable and easily aquired.

Didn't like small bottle gets used up WAY to fast
Magnesium chloride is cheaper....but you have to order the stuff or hunt it down
Next time I will buy the gallon jug.

Good for maintenance, but wouldnt recommend for large mangesium changes

Comments One of the benefits of elevated magnesium levels (over 1500ppm) in aquaria is that it can eliminate bryopsis and turf algaes. The issue with using tech-m is that it takes a lot of this supplement to raise most tanks to those levels. If using for maintenance at a natural seawater level (~1300ppm), this is a good choice. If you're using it for something else, I'd recommend dry mangesium chloride.

Liked about it straight forward to use, a good product for maintaining magnesium levels. The instructions are clear, I've used it for a few years now for maintaining magnesium levels without much of a concern.

Didn't like not great for large magnesium changes in a tank, I've read reports of negative coral response with excessive use (particularly large changes over short periods of time).

Good product

Comments It adds magnesium and nothing else. This is the smallest bottle I would buy if using it as a bryopsis treatment. It requires a lot to maintain those levels and the gallon size may be more appropriate.

Liked about it Several levels of dosing instructions depending on testing and dosing levels.
It increases Mag for coral health.
It also can be used to treat Bryopsis algae at higher levels than are normally used

Didn't like It would be nice if it came with a measuring device.

Tech M

General Ok, I'm not sure where I read this but it supposedly will treat green hair algae. I don't know why, BUT IT DOES!!! I started using this a few weeks ago and now I have very little algae. I love this stuff!

Liked about it Great product. Just what I needed

Didn't like Nothing
