Weak Calcium suppliment. Maybe good for a nano
| Comments |
I got this product to supplement the Calcium in my 75g after being in the hobby a short time.
I tested the calcium and it was low so I assumed I needed to add some. nove thought about Alkalinity. Didn't even really know what Alk was. Weill I got this stuff and started dosing as directed and after about 2 weeks there was no change in my calcium levels. I started dosing more and more. The bottle was gone in the course of just a few weeks. I switched to Tech CB part A nd Part B and what a difference.
This calcium seems to be cery weak and just does not do the job perhaps in a very small tank with few or no hard corals.

This product did what is was suppose to do it just took an extreme amount to get there.
Simple and clear instruction as always with Kent products.

It was just too weak too almost an entire bottle to make a small inpact on my calcium levels. If you need to supplement Ca try another product.

Bye Bye alkalinity
| Comments |
This product does lift the calcium levels but after using it I've had a drop in the alkalinity in my tank. I'm still trying to recover with water changes. if you need calcium supplementation don't try to go the easy route, nothing in reef keeping is easy except disasters.

It is easy to use calcium product.
It is considerably more expensive to use than powdered lime products

It does what it says, raises calcium.
No chance of getting particulate lime like with powdered product.

Ehh, not crazy about it
| General |
I wasn't too crazy about this calcium in particular. I have used much much better, but then again I have used worse as well. |
| Liked about it |
Readily available and good in a pinch.
Its Kent, so its not too bad.
|
| Didn't like |
Didn't raise my levels where it said it would.
I almost feel like there is no QC in there plants.....there's just no consistency from bottle to bottle. One bottle is great, and the next has no punch at all
