Good product that does what it says and can help heal injured fish featured

Comments I've used this for just about as long as I've kept fish though only on freshwater fish. I keep so few fish in my reefs that I've not felt the need for it there. However, I can't imagine the results in a marine tank are any different than in a freshwater one. Those results are very good.

What the product claims to do is to create a synthetic slime coating which helps to reduce stress and heal damaged tissue. Not only this but it will remove chlorine, chloramines and ammonia from tap water. So it's the only conditioner for tap water you will need.

I do not use this on a regular basis, though you certainly could make it an addition at every water change. I use it in my quarantine and hospital tanks to insure the best health of new arrivals or sick/injured fish.

While any evidence of its effectiveness is anecdotal I can say that I've had fish with fin and flesh injuries heal fully and quickly in the hospital tank in which I used stress coat.

I always keep a small bottle on hand, but not the large jug. If you plan on using it as part of your regular water changes then the large jug is by far the more economical choice.

Liked about it 1. Affordable
2. Multi-purpose
3. Can be used whenever you need it. Unlike some medications there is no need to worry about build up.

Didn't like 1. The lit and mouth of the bottle always get crusty.
2. I don't know if it has an official shelf-life, but it does seem to change consistency over time so if you don't use it often get the smallest bottle they sell.

Good for recovering or injured fish

Comments The stress coat is really good when you are skeptical about how a fish is doing and how a fish's health is. I didn't have to use it so many times, but when I did, the fishes that were treated were always fairing better than the ones that were not dosed with stress coat. I have used these in both freshwater and saltwater systems.

When I first dosed it, I saw a small transparent coating on the fish. The coating stayed on until all of it was gone, and the fish was better after it went away.

I always keep a small amount right next to me in cases of emergencies.

Liked about it I really liked how the stress coat actually worked fast compared to other medications. It is definitely good for many usages, like conditioning water. It is also very fast working and you don't need to stress for too long.

Didn't like There's nothing much that I don't like. But sometimes, if you keep it too long, a small slimy blue film gets on the cap and that can be ugly.

One of the best health Products out! Hands down

Comments This product is one of the best out, it has been out for a very long time and works just as advertised.
This product and time help me clam my fish to such a happy state, they battled ick and won.

Liked about it Easy to use, and last even after water changes.

Didn't like I think there is not enough different size's / to price, some people need more then 60 gallon treatment, but not a huge jug either.

Good Stuff

General I use this product at every water change in both my fresh water and salt water tanks. I also use it in my quarantine tanks. I had a Clownfish with a torn fin, this product helped fix it in a few days.

Liked about it Conveniently marked cap makes dosing 5ml or 10ml a snap
