Weak Calcium suppliment best suited for small tanks. featured

Comments I used this products as suggested for 2 weeks and I did nto see any change in the calcium levels in my 125 gallon heavy SPS reef tank. I do run a Calcium reactor so that may have had a small effect on the results but I checked my Calcium levels once I began using it. They were are 420 and after dosing as suggest on the label for three weeks I tested again and the Calcium was still at 420. I did test between then to monitor my Calcium to make sure it did not go too high but never saw a rise in calcium.

No to say that this product does not works as suggested by the manufacture but if your already running a reactor and want to adjust your calcium levels this may not be the best choice.

I did nest the calcium on some freshly mixed water then added the ECO Calcium as suggested then tested it again and I did see a very small rise in the Calcium concentration. So I would suggest this for a small reef tank without a high Calcium demand and not running a reactor.

Liked about it I really love the measuring cap on the API products.
I do think in a smaller reef tank this would be a useful product.
The price is right. This product is very affordable.

Didn't like This is a very weak concentration of Calcium
It also has the smell of a household cleaner which makes me a little nervous for s Calcium supplement.

Economy in a Bottle!

Comments First and foremost, I'd like to clarify that when using products like these always make it a point to do a census on organisms consuming such element. The more organisms and creature there are, the more often calcium dosing you'll have to perform. Always use in moderation (do not dose all at once!), It will take you at least a week to actually get your dosing right, with proper calcium testing and alkalinity test every 24hrs prior and after dosing of course! Do use together with API Marine Buffer Max! Yes, once you get it right you'll never go wrong. Definitely, any novice in the hobby can afford this product before deciding on going pro or just stay with it.

Liked about it Flexibility in dosing.
Economical to use.
Safety is not that much of an issue if you read it's dosing directions and storage.

Didn't like The product needs professional demo for it to be safe and effective to use. Requires devices such as drip dozer, testers (as if it isn't that obvious!) and mixing containers.
